Seattle Dodge dealer, Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram of Smokey Point, confirms the all-new 2011 Dodge Durango will go into production later this year. The new model rivals the ever-popular Jeep Grand Cherokee with a high-end interior feel and standard 290-horsepower Pentastar V6.
The next generation 2011 Dodge Durango is already causing quite a buzz in the auto industry with the newest photos recently released. Fast lines and a slick interior is what Dodge is using to describe its new look. Many are saying that the new Durango will rival the Grand Cherokee, with three rows of seating space available in this performance SUV.
The Durango was introduced in 1998 and had its first real redesign in 2004. In 2009, the model was discontinued, making the debut of the 2011 version even more exciting. Dodge is keeping mum on the details of the Durango’s new look and performance capabilities, releasing only small bits of information to the media. The expected models to be announced from Dodge include the Durango Crew, Express, Heat, Boulevard, and RT. All are expected to be available in both 4×2 and 4×4 versions.
Seating configurations will be for five or seven passengers. The front passenger seat can be folded flat, the second row will have a 60/40 fold and tumble seat, and the third row seat will include headrests that can be lowered by the driver for a better rear view.
Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram of Smokey Point, a top ranked Seattle Dodge dealer will be ensuring that their customers are the first to know of late breaking news regarding the new model.

Do you own a Dodge Durango Hybrid? Well if you do Seattle Dodge dealer, Rairdon Auto Group, encourages you to recycle your battery.
The Dodge Durango Hybrid in Seattle contain a High Voltage 300 Volt NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) battery. It is important to understand that these batteries can be recycled. Prior to doing so, however, Chrysler and our Seattle Dodge dealership recommends that you refer to and understand the applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations governing the recycling, handling, and shipping of such batteries and materials. This is important because under law such batteries can, under certain circumstances, be deemed waste or dangerous goods.
NiMH batteries contain several components, including nickel, copper and steel, each of which has value as recycled materials. Rairdon Auto Group’s Seattle Dodge dealership urges dealers to follow the Service Information Procedures for proper disconnecting, removing, storing and handling, and, if necessary, disposal of the NiMH battery packs. Such Service Procedures can be bought online at www.techauthority.com or you can also check with our Seattle Dodge dealership to get qualified support. As the batteries weigh about 150 pounds (70 kg), it is important that you have appropriate equipment and personnel available when removing the battery from the vehicle.
Rairdon Auto Group is glad to help you with any questions you have regarding the NiMH battery packs. Please call our Seattle Dodge dealership at 877-331-8981. Seattle Dodge dealer, Rairdon Auto Group, just heard that Chrysler unveiled the first special-edition Mopar version of the Dodge Challenger today, a celebration of the longstanding relationship between the automaker and its dedicated aftermarket parts supplier.
“Our Mopar ’10 Challenger is a collaboration of two iconic brands with tremendous heritage,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC in a statement.
Mopar ’10 Challenger is based on a 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T, modified for a new look and greater performance. Equipment includes the Challenger’s 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine concealed by a unique engine cover, along with a variety of other Mopar enhancements. A hood-venting system, a cold-air intake and a front strut tower brace with shock caps are part of the package, as is a rear strut tower brace to stiffen the chassis.
Available now for pre-order, the Mopar ’10 will arrive in August priced at $38,000 for the automatic transmission, and $39,000 for a manual tranny with pistol-grip shifter. Mopar will build only 500 of these models, available only in Brilliant Black paint with a choice of three different stripe colors: Mopar Blue, Red or Silver. Interior stitching on the steering wheel and seats will match the exterior stripe color.
Twenty-inch forged heritage gloss-black wheels, a black-chromed grille surround, a functional, vented T/A-style hood with vintage hood pins, a serialized dash plaque and Mopar logos galore round out the package.
Bonus: A special Mopar ’10 car cover and an owner’s kit that includes a limited-edition sketch of the vehicle signed by Chrysler Group Design Chief Mark Trostle come with the purchase.
