Seattle Dodge dealer Rairdon Dodge has some great news for Washington Dodge outdoor enthusiasts. Hunters, fishermen, campers and boaters of Washington will all love the latest edition to the Dodge family.

Seattle Dodge Ram Outdoorsman

The 2011 Dodge Ram Outdoorsman features the most useful traits of the outdoor lifestyle in one model: standard trailer-towing upgrades, interior and exterior lighting enhancements, all-terrain tires, and a rugged exterior appearance. Also, RamBox-equipped trucks have a “RamBox Holster” fishing rod and gun rack accessory option. Add in convenice, off-road capability and trailer towing hardware, and the Ram Outdoorsman is the perfect vehicle for any Washington resident looking to enjoy the great outdoors.

The idea for the 2011 Dodge Ram Outdoorsman was born simply from what Ram Heavy Duty owners illustrate: a passion for the outdoors. In fact, 62 percent of fullsize pickup truck owners say they hunt, fish or camp. Of the Dodge Ram Heavy Duty owners surveyed, 47 percent say they hunt, 57 percent fresh water fish, 33 percent salt water fish, 36 percent own power boats, and 37 percent tow camping trailers.

The overall design of the Ram Outdoorsman was also a passion project within the Dodge family. Ram Truck engineers – many of whom also count hunting, fishing, boating and camping among their hobbies – brought together features they felt would best meet the practical needs of Outdoorsman owners who will frequently travel on long, remote trips.

Specific features of the 2011 Dodge Ram Outdoorsman include:

  • Standard Class IV receiver hitch for proper towing of campers, boats, ATVs and other trailers rated to vehicle’s max
  • Available integrated trailer brake controller with driver adjustability and easy-to-see instrument panel readout
  • Available rear backup camera to ease trailer hookups
  • Tow hooks for retrieving disabled or immobile vehicles, clearing trails
  • Power 10-way driver seat and lumbar adjust for comfort on long trips
  • Rear 60 / 40 split folding seat for more flexibility in hauling passengers and cargo
  • Remote start and security group adds alarm system and convenience of a comfortable cabin after a day in the field or on the water
  • Standard fog lights and quad halogen headlamps for maximum visibility in remote areas
  • Dash-mounted 115-volt auxiliary power outlet to charge batteries and electronic devices without the need for special DC car chargers
  • Outdoorsman badge proudly announces owner’s passion
  • RamBox (available on the Ram 1500), the ultimate place for outdoor enthusiasts to stow their gear; lockable and lit, RamBox frees up interior space for passengers

Perhaps the most novel of all the features in the 2011 Dodge Ram Outdoorsman is the Mopar RamBox Holster. Factory-designed to fit within the Ram’s two unique locked, lighted and sealed exterior storage bins, the Holster gently, yet securely cradles two rifles or shotguns, or can be rotated 90 degrees to hold up to six fishing rods. The RamBox Holster will have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $205, and be available at Dodge dealers in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Officially unveiled recently at the Professional Outdoor Media Association’s (POMA) conference, the 2011 Dodge Ram Outdoorsman is sure to be a hit with any fan of the outdoors. Before you hit the trail, stop by Washington Dodge dealer Rairdon Dodge to learn more about this rugged vehicle.
